This comprehensive course offers both basic and advanced modules, focusing on 2D and 3D deformity analysis and planning, as well as the latest treatment concepts for bone deformities and defects. General lectures will cover fundamental principles, surgical techniques, complication management, and case-based discussions. Basic Module Designed for those new to deformity correction, this module teaches digital 2D deformity analysis and planning. Participants will explore indications for osteotomies around the knee, including cases involving ligament and cartilage pathologies, guided by a renowned international faculty. Step-by-step demonstrations of surgical techniques for standard osteotomies will be provided, along with hands-on workshops using sawbone models und different plates. Advanced Module Tailored for orthopaedic surgeons with foundational experience in deformity correction, this module offers in-depth training in the Anatomical Institute of Basel using cadaver specimens. Participants will further develop their surgical skills and expand their knowledge of 3D deformity planning and analysis through specialized workshops led by a distinguished international faculty. In diesem eintägigen Intensivkurs erwerben die Teilnehmenden wichtige chirurgische Zugangswege zu Körperhöhlen und großen Blutgefäßen, um Leben oder Gliedmaßen zu retten. Die chirurgischen Expositionstechniken werden an menschlichen Präparaten vermittelt. Ziel des Kurses ist es, eine kompetente Versorgung penetrierender Verletzungen in Notfallsituationen zu ermöglichen. Nach Abschluss des Kurses verfügen die TN über Kenntnisse und praktische Fertigkeiten zur Behandlung akuter lebensbedrohlicher Verletzungen sowie zu deren chirurgischem Zugang und Freilegen der betroffenen Strukturen. Dear Colleagues & Shoulder Specialists We are delighted to welcome you to the 3rd Lucerne Shoulder Course and to continue our commitment to high-quality, practice-oriented education in shoulder surgery. This two-day course combines the latest evidence with contemporary surgical techniques through expert lectures, interactive case discussions, and extensive hands-on training. Day 1 focuses on advanced shoulder arthroscopy, including instability, rotator cuff pathology, and selected nerve procedures. Participants will practice modern arthroscopic techniques under the guidance of an experienced international faculty. Day 2 is dedicated to the treatment of proximal humerus fractures and fracture sequelae. Using fresh-frozen cadaver specimens in our state-of-the-art Skills Lab, participants will gain hands-on experience with contemporary osteosynthesis and shoulder arthroplasty techniques. New this year, an interactive Trauma Battle will encourage discussion of complex fracture cases, treatment strategies, and surgical decision-making. To ensure maximum interaction and individual feedback, participant numbers remain limited, enabling close collaboration with faculty and a highly interactive learning environment.
